It’s round 9 this weekend, which marks the hallway point of the season. We have our team photo day this Saturday for our Saturday teams, and with 18 matches being played at home this Saturday promises to be a busy one at Minchinbury Reserve.We look forward to the sun shining and all those smiling photo day faces.

Acceptable Standards of Behaviour
Over the first half of the season, Blacktown Association has noticed an increase in the number of incidents involving poor behaviour from spectators, players and team officials. This seems to be across the whole association and is not isolated to any club. It has been disappointing to see some Minchinbury people involved in incidents that really shouldn’t have occurred.
Two weeks ago, we held a coaches and managers meeting to update our team officials on what has been happening and pass on an update from Blacktown Association regarding poor behaviour.
It is our club’s aim to be a club where all members and visitors can feel safe and comfortable and enjoy their soccer experience. From a club point of view, we want to set the standard in good behaviour We ask that everyone associated with our club help achieve this by being on their best behaviour, whether it be at Minchinbury or another ground. Please have respect for referees, team and club officials and your opposing team. RESPECT is an easy word to say, but it a much harder honour to earn! Let’s earn the respect of our peers, referees and members of other clubs through our actions and behaviour. Let’s learn that sometimes it’s best to bite your tongue and say nothing, just walk away! Be the better person, no matter what assumed provocation may occur. In short, lets start enjoying our soccer!
Kebab Day Postponed
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to postpone the planned Kebab Day that was to be held this Saturday 3rd June. We will advise as soon as we have a new date for the Kebab Day
Junior Team Photo Day
This Saturday 3rd June will see our junior teams have their photo day. Teams have had the order forms distributed to them. There are 2 options to pay:
1) Pay online as per the order form instructions. If you pay online, please fill in the payment details on your form and give it to your team manager on Saturday at your photo session.
2) Pay on the day. Please complete your photo order form and bring the complete form and correct money with you (cash only) on Saturday.
Please be aware that we only have a limited amount of change at the canteen. Players are asked to please bring the correct money with them on Saturday.

Family Fun Day – Sunday 18th June
Join us at the Lone Pine Tavern for our second Family Fun Day and Mega Meat Raffle on Sunday 18th June from 12pm to 2pm. Enjoy a fun day out with the family & friends with the following activities:
· Pony Rides and Petting Zoo for FREE. Plus, a visit from Frozen’s Elsa.
· Mega Meat Raffle with 15 meat trays to be won (show your MJSC membership card to receive 2 for 1 tickets when purchasing your raffle tickets).
· Kids Eat Free with Main Meal Purchase exclusive for MJSC Members.

Player of the Match Awards
We would like to request the assistance of all our Coaches & Managers of all teams and of all grades to help recognise the achievements of your Player of the Match Awards
Please take a photo of your Player of the Match with their award and trophy every week.
Scan the QR code from the POTM flyer that has been issued to your team, complete the requested details and attach a copy of your photo to the email.
Send off the email to MJSC Sponsorship to have your POTM featured on our weekly Player of the Match post on our Facebook page.
