Round 12 Newsletter - 15th of September 2020

Its round 12 this weekend and we are quickly approaching the end of our 14-round season.

There is still plenty of soccer happening over the next month and things to organise for the post season.

This Saturday at Minchinbury Reserve one of our sponsors, The Kebab Shack, will be putting on a Kebab Day through our canteen. Details are in this newsletter

As the weather warms up and we near the season end (and semi-final soccer for some teams) we ask that all players, team officials and spectators stay cool and be on their best behaviour both on and off the field this weekend and enjoy ourselves. Have a great weekend and enjoy your soccer.

Yours in soccer - The Minchinbury Jets Soccer Club Committee

Current Playing and Training Restrictions for COVID-19

Just a reminder that under the current guidelines for play, Junior games (5 – 16) years are restricted to one parent spectator per player. These spectators are asked to please sign in with the QR code that is available on posters at the grounds. Senior games (Youth – Over 35’s) are to have no spectators in attendance.

Whilst the current COVID-19 situation means that we are training and playing with restrictions on supporters, our club and its members have done a great job in abiding by these new rules and keeping everyone safe and healthy. I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation in these trying times.

The Kebab Shack is Back!

This Saturday 19th September, The Kebab Shack, will be holding a Kebab day through our club canteen.

Kebabs will be available from 10:00am until sold out.

Kebabs will be $8:00 each, or you can purchase a meal deal of a Kebab and a can of soft drink for $10.

These tasty Kebabs were a huge success last year, so we encourage you to get in early to avoid missing out.

Return of Playing Shirts at the End of the Season

Players who have a club playing shirt must return them to their team manager at the end of their last game of the year. All players are advised to take a spare shirt to their last game of the season and to give their playing shirt to the team manager at the completion of their last game. Players listed as not returning shirts will be noted as unfinancial and will be excluded from presentations.

The club will contact team coaches and managers about dates and times for dropping the shirts and training kits back to the club post season.

Club Presentations and AGM

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we cannot have our normal end of season presentations or AGM. The committee is currently planning presentations and an AGM that are COVID-19 guideline compliant. We will update you in the next week or two when the details and plan for presentation have been given approval.

Club Website

Our club website address is www.minchinburyjets.com If you have any suggestions for the website or our Facebook page, please send an email to the club through the email contact address on our website and the committee will consider your suggestion. The website contains links to the Blacktown Soccer Association website and contains all that you need to keep up with the latest in our club.

That’s all for now. We hope that you all stay well. Please feel free to offer any contributions to the next issue of our newsletter. Any contributions can be emailed to Stephen Bradbury at steveandkerrib@bigpond.com
