IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE 2019 FOOTBALL SEASON
Blacktown & Districts Soccer Football Association (BDSFA) are looking forward to an exciting 2019 season. With 10,000 participants playing under the auspices of the BDSFA in 2018, our 23 Member Clubs continued to deliver a great experience for its players. With 88% of registered players residing within the Blacktown LGA, the BDSFA and its Member Clubs provide a great platform to ensure our sport is at the heart of their winter weekends.
2019 sees a couple of changes to the landscape that we wanted to let you know about so the registration process is smooth and the 2019 season is even more enjoyable than 2018.
New FFA Registration system (Play Football)
Play Football registration system has been implemented across the country by FFA that has been designed to improve the players registration experience, especially for those with multiple players in their family.
You will find a step by step guide to the new registration system attached. Some key points are:
- Everyone must create a new account in the Play Football system for 2019
- For families; create an account for a parent first and then link all children
- All photos must be replaced in 2019. You MUST have a head shot ready when you register and it MUST be under 5MB in size, file type of PNG or JPG

Active Kids Rebate
The NSW Government Active Kids Rebate returns for 2019 with all NSW children who attend school able to receive a $100 discount off the cost of playing organized weekend sport.
In 2018, Football families received $16.7 million as 167,000 players took advantage of the scheme. Football account for more than three times the number of recipients than the next sport, which was Netball. First step is to go to the Service NSW website (https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/active-kids) and redeem a voucher.
The Active Kids rebate is then part of the registration process (at the payment stage) so please take advantage of this tremendous program.
